so my baby sister is having her first baby. i only have one sibling (her) so this is really exciting as it is my first opportunity to wear my Worlds Greatest Uncle hat. plus she is my younger sis' by 5 years so there is a whole nother level of pride for me to see my little sis grow up, get married and start a family of her own. Rie and I are so proud and in love with my sister Katie and her husband Adam and look forward to the miracle they will be bringing into my screwed up family.
well well well, in case any of you were wondering what happened to me, here is the answer: i'm not sure.
it seems lately that whenever i have sat down to write, it either feels forced or i physically cannot think of anything to put down. that doesn't mean that things haven't been busy though. we have the obvious holiday buzz and things have been busy at work, but there is just something about the snow and christmas time that makes me want to live, i mean really live.
it's pretty funny. during the summer and the nice weather, i tend to stay indoors, but once the snow starts flying, all i want to do is bundle up and go for a walk or a drive (which has been made easier by the heated seats in rie's bravada). i am a christmas time junkie and i don't care who knows it!!! well, i gotta go. i have to get in shape for my 24hour A Christmas Story Marathon!!
so at this rate it will take me until '07 to write again, so if that is true, then merry christmas everyone and remember

Good to hear from you, bro! And congrats! When we get pregnant someday, will you write a post about how proud you are of me? 'Cause I just think that would be great to have someone be proud of me for getting preggers. It's pretty funny, when you think about it!
yeah, it does have a certain bizarre, uncomfortable humorous quality to it. hey laura, why wait for you to be "preggers"...i'm proud of you for trying!
