i married an android

eyes open, the time: 5:06 am

do you ever wake up and something is out of place?
maybe you never wake up before 8am and something wakes you @ 4 am.
how discombobulated do you feel then?

or if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed....literally?

one of my personal favorites is falling asleep on the couch and waking up half way thru the night. how much fun is THAT? trying to get your bearings.
trying to answer questions to yourself like :
what time is it?
what day is it?
where am i?
what the hell is on tv !?
...are they selling shoe cutting knives??

well this morning i woke up just after 5 am and rolled over to find that my wife had either been kidnapped or spontaneously combusted. so being the responsible and loving husband that i am i got up...and went to the bathroom.
but after that i slunked out of the bedroom down the hall into the living room like a zombie from the Resident Evil movies
i heard a strange tapping sound accompanied by bright flashing lights in no sequential order.

once i finished "slunking" into the living room i realized the flashing disco effect was from the christmas lights i had left on. YES THAT'S RIGHT I HAVE MY LIGHTS UP, I COULD'NT TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!
the tapping was the sound of my wife at the computer....at 5:06 am.
the girl never sleeps. i used to get angry about her staying up all night, partly because i love having her next to me, partly was for her health. but i had promised her i would stop harping on her about it and let her "do her thang."

she smiled and cheerily said "hi honey!!!"
the only thing i remember after that was saying something (i'll have to wait for rie to wake up this afternoon to ask her what i said) and heading back to bed.
i tried to send out an intergalactic text message to the mothership to return my human wife and take back their cyborg clone that never sleeps, but unfortunately i was trying to make contact using my eyeglass case so i just ended the call, and went to bed.
